Glacier Skate Academy has a great team of professional coaches who work together to ensure that each skater achieves personal excellence. Our dedicated coaching staff provides a full range of skating disciplines - freestyle, dance and pairs - with professional specialists in jumps, spins, skating skills and choreography. When choosing a coach for your skater, there are several factors to take into consideration. To assist you with this process, U.S. Figure Skating and The Professional Skaters Association have outlined the following information. All coaches teaching private lessons at Glacier Skate Academy must be USFSA Coach Compliant. Coaches must meet a minimum of four requirements to be compliant for the 2017-2018 season. 

1. Current USFSA Membership-Expires 6/30/2018

2. A GREEN background check from USFSA

3. Proof of insurance

4. Completion of CER's- minimum of Level C

Guest coaches should provide (via email or hard copies) of  all of the above to the GSA skating director to be kept on file.

Cesca trained under World & Olympic Coaches Evy & Mary Scotvold. She specializes in training competitive and recreational figure skaters of all ages. She has over 35 years of coaching experience and has successfully coached skaters from beginning classes through Senior Moves in the Field and Freestyle Tests. She has coached athletes that have advanced to the final round at Upper Great Lakes Regionals at the Novice, Junior, and Senior Levels. In addition, Cesca has coached Power Skating for youth, high school, AAA, & college hockey teams and individual players for over 35 years.


Prior to joining the team at GSA, Cesca was Director of Capitol Skating School at Bob Suter’s Capitol Ice Rink in Middleton, Wisconsin.
